Hawaiian inspired granola
Actualizado: abr 29
Granola is a great option for a filling breakfast or snack. But packaged granolas can be so loaded with sugar or high fructose sweeteners... If I want to enjoy them, I need to make them myself. The possibilities are endless. Just choose the type of nuts or other flavours you want to add. You can never go wrong. For real! This version is inspired in Hawaii, the place of endless macadamia :-) I hope you enjoy it!!
150g oats (gluten-free if necessary)
70g macadamia nuts (chopped)
20g coconut flakes (not grated)
10g goji berries
20g cacao nibs
100g rice syrup (equivalent to 5 tsp)
1. Toast all the dry ingredients in a pan till they are the lightly brown (approx. 10 minutes).
2. Turn off heat and add rice syrup.
3. Mix well.
4. Allow to cool down completely.
5. Break down the granola carefully and store in a jar.
